Savor the Country
at Stone House Farm!

Want to simplify, slow down, and refresh?
Then here is the place for you…

Located just outside the southwest metro of Minneapolis/St. Paul near the quaint town of Jordan, Stone House Farm offers an extra-ordinary setting for a close-in rural respite from the pace and populous of city and suburbs.

The farm is distinguished by its unique, nearly 100-year-old, beautifully restored, superbly clean 3-bedroom, 2-bath stone farmhouse that is surrounded by 115 acres of rolling hills, native grasses, and mature trees. The secluded "Back 40” natural area with a meandering creek and maintained trails is a special place to walk, cross-country ski, and view wildlife.

Guests come from near and far to enjoy all the farm has to offer—cookouts by the outdoor fireplace, stories and s'mores over the bonfire ring (split wood provided), family fun like horseshoes, corn hole, ping pong, foosball, table games, piano, mountain bikes (provided), or just kicking back and taking in the picturesque rural views.

Or venture off the farm to visit the many area attractions—Minnesota's Largest Candy Store, Valley Fair, many golf courses and lakes, horseback riding, zip lining, fall festivals, apple orchards, and much, much more (see below).

The Psalmist wrote, "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. He restores my soul.”

We hope this is what you experience at Stone House Farm and look forward to helping you have a memorable visit!

Perfection! *****

The setting is idyllic, the house was immaculately clean and comfortable, and the host was phenomenal. We already have our return visit booked! ~ Monica

Country escape *****

This is a beautiful, well-maintained property. The house is comfortable and very clean. The outdoor space is the star, with numerous places to relax and unwind without ever leaving. We enjoyed the peaceful setting, coffee on the lawn, long walks in the "back 40," campfires by the drive and even a visit by some sandhill cranes. Nice to be able to bring our dog as well. It's close enough to the Twin Cities to be convenient--but far enough to feel like a true escape. ~ Diane

A peaceful and quiet getaway *****

Our family of four (plus our dog Indy) spent a wonderful weekend here. I am already planning a trip back with friends. The house was spotless (and I am very picky when I travel about cleanliness) and had everything we needed. David was great to work with. A modern farmhouse feel and decorated perfectly!

Beautiful and Peaceful *****

I had such a relaxing stay here. The farmhouse is new and beautifully built and the land is gorgeous with rolling hills, creeks and nature everywhere. I would definitely go back! ~ Liz

Escape to the Country to Relax and Recharge!

We spent a wonderful week at Stone House Farm. The house itself is completely new, spotless, inviting and has everything you need to feel at home while away from home.

The owner David is a pleasure to deal with, friendly, responsive and truly concerned about his guests having a good stay. We actually got to meet him and his family and it was a real treat.

Again, I can’t speak highly enough about how pretty the house is and all the amenities it has, but on top of that the setting is breathtaking. We wanted quiet and peace and we got that. We wanted to be able to go hiking near by and we got that (in fact there is a private 2 mile loop steps away from the door). We wanted to be able to visit towns, go antique shopping, go to a restaurant or for and ice cream and we got that too.

There are a few house rules for guests to follow, especially about dogs in the house, but I completely understand why they exist. We had no problem with them and I would probably ask for the same if I had a house as pretty. So, no problem for us!

What can I say, it was our privilege to stay at Stone House Farm in Jordan, MN and we would go back in a heartbeat. Thank you, David, for sharing your beautiful farm with us. ~ Veronica

Brodie and I are lifetime Minnesotans who love this state. We were raised and live just west of the Twin Cities in the Lake Minnetonka area and are blessed to have both sides of our family nearby.

In our twenties, my parents introduced us to the rugged, forested wilderness on the North Shore of Lake Superior. They had honeymooned there in the 1950s and today we relish trips Up North to our cabin, Lutsen Lakehouse on Lake Superior (also available for rent).

So perhaps it was just a matter of time before we developed a love for the rural agricultural part of Minnesota. We felt it stirring when we would find ourselves on weekends driving out to a quiet gravel road somewhere in the country to take a walk with our son and dogs.

The first day we set foot on Stone House Farm, we could tell it was a special place—the unique stone farmhouse, the awe-inspiring views, the Back 40 nature and wildlife area. The overall setting enchanted us. There is a lot to appreciate and experience at this farm and we are so grateful to be its stewards at this time in its history.

If you stay in the farmhouse, you will likely notice what is most important to us—our Christian faith, family, and friends. We find this a conducive place to cherish all three. And it makes us glad to share the farm with others who will enjoy and respect it as much as we do.
